Dear Wwise community,

I have problem launching or packaging my game in Unreal Engine 4.24 (using Wwise 2019.2.1.7250). When I edit the game in the Engine, I have the sound in the game. But when I launch or package the game, the created file doesn't have any sound. The only problem I could find in the launching log is this one :

LogAkWaapiClient: Warning: Failed to connect to WAAPI client on local host. Trying again in 2 seconds.

I already looked at this issue : https://www.audiokinetic.com/qa/5076/packaged-build-package-script-akaudio-requested-async-loading?fbclid=IwAR3RFYidFvj-xf3cCwIFNroCca7AwrHfN5mxQ4kWoLaV_KH9_c42BH9TmM4

But it doesn't seem to be the same problem.

Could someone help me on this matter?

Did you try Remote connecting wwise to the package build version of your game ? If yes what do you see?
The first thing I would check is that your, Unreal Project settings are indeed pointing to the Wwise audio folder that has your soundbanks.
Then I would rebuild all soundbanks from the Unreal BUild Menu, and re-import the rebuilt banks. Test it plays in editor without Wwise connected, and then rebuild the Unreal package.

We're having a similar issue with our project, our sound works in the editor but crashes when loading in a packaged build.... driving us nuts and can't figure it out...
