The combat music was not played in cube after I generate the sound bank, but the music in lesson one made it. The sound bank I created in 201 lesson 1 works but not lesson 2 and lesson 3, why? Is it becasue the cache was cleared because of the old version? How can I fix it?

Ok I'm 2 years too late, but just in case anyone else encounters this problem in the future - you need to re-add the 'Music' event to the 'Music' soundbank, which is not explained in 201 lesson 2. I don't know if it's because they simply didn't add the event to the soundbank when building the lesson files, or if it's caused by something else (like replacing 'Explore' music container in the 'Music' event with the 'Combat' one). Either way, hope this helps!

Hey Yifan,

If the Lesson 1 Wwise project works, then the Lesson 2 should certainly work too, so here's a few things you could try.

1) Make sure you added the Combat Music Playlist Container to the Event's play action and that you've generated SoundBanks. Then use the profiler to ensure it's called, otherwise, tell us what errors you get.

2) If that doesn't work, delete the Windows and Mac SoundBank folders in \Audiokinetic\Wwise 2021.?.?.????\Cube\cube\soundbanks\, then regenerate the files from Lesson 2 and make sure the Windows/Mac folders get created. If not, the Soundbanks might be generated into a wrong location.

Let us know if you get it to work.

I had this exact same issue, deleting and regenerating soundbanks didn't work (they were generating to the proper location). 201 Lesson 1 worked perfectly but 201 Lesson 2 was missing footsteps, fire ice gem and music. In the profiler there was several errors including "Event ID not found" for Map_Loaded, Foot_Player and Fire_IceGem_Player, oddly Music was not showing this error. After adding said events to the Main soundbank and regenerating soundbanks the Music event started showing the "Event ID not found" in profiler, so I added it to the Music soundbank and it all works now. The only minor issue is footsteps only play every other step (they played every step in 201 Lesson 1), but that was an issue for me in certain lessons of 101 too. At least this was good practice using the profiler.
