Hi Wwise-r,

I'm trying to install the Google Resonance plug-in.
I've followed the procedure from the Wwise Launcher. After installing the plug-in, I've checked that all files were in the AudioKinetic folder, and it was all there.
Once I created a project, the Google Resonance plug-in did not appear.

Any clue of what could have gone wrong? Any good and free alternative?

Cheers,
Blandino.

When you say files were all there, are the ResonanceAudio.dll and ResonanceAudio.xml files in "Authoring\x64\Release\bin\Plugins"? These are the plug-in files used by Authoring (as opposed to those in the SDK directory).

Additionally, you can check if there are errors logged in the Log view (indicators are next to the global search bar in the top-right): this would indicate the plug-in was found, but may have failed to load.
Hi, I'm fairly new to Wwise apologise if I'm missing something.
Where do you find the Authoring folder? Still in Applications/Audiokinetic? I'm on macOS.

I don't get any error messages.

On macOS, the Authoring files are located "/Library/Application Support/Audiokinetic/Wwise <version>/Authoring".

One issue we are currently investigating is that the Wwise Authoring part of plug-ins is not being downloaded properly at the moment, so this may explain why the DLL would not be found under "/Library/Application Support/Audiokinetic/Wwise <version>/Authoring/x64/Release/bin/Plugins". This issue should be resolved soon, I will report back once it is deployed so that you can reinstall the plug-in.
Thank you so much. I copied the ResonanceAudio.dll and ResonanceAudio.xml files manually.
After that, I tried to create a new project, but Wwise will crash at the Finalizing step. I'm not sure why.
The plug-in library must be of the matching Wwise Authoring version; not sure where you copied the libraries from, but that's probably why it crashed.
I got it from here: https://github.com/resonance-audio/resonance-audio-wwise-sdk/releases
I think that's the official GitHub repository.
That repository does not seem to mention a specific version of Wwise, I suggest to wait for the fix to hit the servers so that you can grab the correct version from the Launcher that is guaranteed to work.
The fix has been released: please try again by reinstalling Wwise with the Resonance plug-in.
The installation seems to have worked; however, it installs the Resonance Audio Renderer only. The installation won't include the Resonance Audio Room Effects. Is there any way to get them in too?
It does: it is a Mixer plug-in and can be added in the Mixer Plug-in tab of a bus. Follow the instructions here: https://resonance-audio.github.io/resonance-audio/develop/wwise/getting-started.html

Will close this for now given that the original issue was resolved.

A fix has been released on our servers that allows back the download of some missing Authoring plug-in packages.

If this issue affects you, simply uninstall and reinstall the plug-in.
