Hi there,

are there any plans to release a WWise integration as UE4 plugin in the near future (if yes, what would be the ETA)?

My concern is that the existent UE4 branch with WWise integration might cause issues or conflicts with further UE4 updates.

Many thanks,

Ulrich

I second this concern.

It is in the plans, but unfortunately I cannot give an ETA on this.

You can rest assured though, we try to stay in sync with Epic's release schedule as much as possible. Our usual turnaround time is one to two weeks after a new UE4 release.

Thanks for fast reply & Info! :)
So any news on this front?
It would be great to get Wwise as a plug-in for UE4.8 that has been released yesterday, it would be so much easier for maintenance and future upgrades.
Any ETA on getting a plugin for UE4.9 that has been released yesterday?

I'm really not into starting the painfull manual integration of the previous Wwise by myself as i did for the 2 last updates.

We're running a modified version of the engine for our own game needs and it's a long work to diff all files to keep both your and our code changes.
