A sound designer on my team recently asked about whether it was possible to take a .prof file and play the events as they were triggered back in real time. This got me very curious as it sounds like a very useful feature. In that post there is an answer from 2014 where someone from Audiokinetic states
However, rest assured that audio playback from a saved session is a feature we want to add.
Personally, I am not looking for the audio from the play back of a profiler session, but a real time play back of only the events and game syncs that were sent to Wwise along with the position of the listener. That way I could hear how the changes to those particular chain of events sounds with updated sounds or mixing independent of the game.
Does anyone know if this is a planned feature or if someone has built some sort of tool to do this already? Thanks for any insights!
