I'm doing the Wwise 101 and I have the same issue with footsteps that are not following the floor type...
I went back to the course 3 "switch" to be sure that I've followed everything correctly. When I ran the capture log with the soundbank generated from course 3, every changing floor event is called "switch to default" instead of switch to "MATERIAL_name"
I double-checked by generating the original cube demo soundbank and the capture log showed the right event call switch to "MATERIAL_name"... so it doesn't seem to be a game coding issue...
Still don't understand what's wrong.
