Most regular files generate identical md5 checksums after renaming, but I found that regenerating a SoundBank after renaming it in Wwise gives me a different checksum of its BNK file.

Does this change serve a purpose? I found it counter-intuitive. This is on top of a whole bunch of metadata files generated along with the SoundBank, which all record changes in names, etc.

I imagine that renaming it in the Wwise software must mean something more than directly renaming a file on the operating system,

but my design has not changed, so shouldn't its product remain intact?
