I had a fresh install of Wwise, was wanting to learn how to use. I followed the documents on how to setup and start using and when I was in UE4 I was trying to generate soundbank but I got this soundbank generation failed: could not open the wwise soundbank definition file.

Zack I found the answer to this!

Here is a shot video of how to fix it: https://youtu.be/Rn4MACde90c

Put in your bank per normal. Drag the event from the WWISE picker under the windows tab in Unreal into the contents browser.  Double click the event and bring up the bank to reference. NOW SAVE ALL. When you generate should work this time for some reason. I don't argue with results.
Hi Megan,

This video actually did help to me.

Same problem.

Follow this tutorial to the letter to generate sound banks in Unreal: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oQlxNMn2b3w

Unreal Version : 4.21.2

WWISE Version : 2018.1.5.6835

Can anyone confirm that Unreal and WWISE are compatible, and if so, what version?
