Pan Law in Position Editor 2D Panner [Panning Laws]

What's the pan law for the 2D Panner in the Positioning Tab?  It looks like -3dB, and can we change that?  Most DAWs have the option to modify this value, and most have this value set between -3dB and -6dB.  Thanks!
