Is it possible to add custom transitons to Switch Subtracks within Music Segments?

I seem to be unable to add a custom transition to the Transitions tab of a switch subtrack I have living within a Music Segment. I can edit the All to All transition, but I cannot add a new transition if I want the In time, say, to be different than the Out time. The entire add section is simply greyed out. Am I doing something wrong or is this really not possible?
