We would like a way to be able to drag Wwise events (along with Rtpcs/Switches etc) from the Wwise authoring tool to our game editor (Lumberyard), so we can define audio events directly from the Wwise data.

At bare minimum we would need the draggable object to contain the name of the event/RTPC/Switch etc, but it would be great if other information could be transferred too.

Is there any chance this feature could be implemented?

Thanks

Hey Sam, you can already drag and drop any Wwise events, along rtpc, switches, states etc in the Audio Controls Editor in Lumberyard.

Doc is here: http://docs.aws.amazon.com/lumberyard/latest/userguide/audio-atl-editor.html

Hi Jean-Edouard,

Thanks for your reply. We are aware of the Audio Controls Editor but we do not use it as we have a batch process that replicates it's functionality of mapping Wwise events/rtpcs etc to ATL Triggers etc.

So, putting aside Lumberyard and talking generally, our sound designers would like to be able to drag a Wwise event from the authoring tool into our external application so they can define audio events directly from the authoring tool. The minimum functionality we would need is for the drag object to contain the name of the Wwise event, rtpc, state etc but other information would be beneficial too.

We feel this would be a fluid way to work, and would also benefit other developers wishing to work in this way.

We hope you would consider adding this feature to the authoring tool in an upcoming release.
