Generating soundbanks in my project takes a long time. Furthermore, Wwise seems to be regenerating soundbanks every time I generate banks, even if there were no changes made to the bank. The Wwise help guide says that "SoundBanks that were previously generated and have not changed will not be regenerated. In this case, "Up to date" appears in the Created column of the Results panel."

This doesn't appear to be the case for me, as banks that haven't been changed still show "Yes" in the Created column of the Results panel.

Is there a setting I've missed somewhere?

EDIT:

It seems that the Init bank is being generated every time regardless if anything is being changed or not. Un-checking the "Generate Metadata File" checkbox in SoundBank Settings seems to remedy the issue. Does anyone know what the checkbox does? I'm unable to find anything about it in the documentation.
