Random Pitch - how is it applied to Children Containers?

Question

Let's say I have a Blend Container called Gunshot, and two random containers inside it.

If I apply Random Pitch to the Blend Container, will the same pitch be applied to the samples picked from both containers - e.g both samples play with -25 cents?  Or do both containers pick their own randomness?

Hello Mark,

The Random Pitch you apply on your Gunshot container will come "on top" of the the Random container.

Your sound will see  :

1) The Sound FX settings

2) The Random container (the this SFX is located)

3) The Blend container (where the Ramdom container is located).

Let's say we have this settings ofr the pitch : Sound FX : +4 // Random : -2 // Blend : +1

The final result will sound like : +3

(+4-2+1 = +3)
