I am running UE4 4.11.2 and Wwise 2015.1.6 5553 with the plug in active on a MAC. I have a convolution reverb running on an Aux Buss with a single AK sound running to it. In the Unreal map I have an AKReverbVolume with the Aux actor assigned to it. When I remote Wwise to Unreal, the sound is going through the Aux buss Reverb regardless of whether or not I am inside the AKReverbVolume.

I am not sure what I have done wrong. I have a different session where the Aux Buss and AKReverbVolume are functioning correctly and I am not sure what is different between the two scenarios.

I read the documentation on the User Defined Auxilary Sends and the use of the AKReverVolume. Unless I am missing something, I think I have it setup correctly. The object is playing through the Aux Buss regardless of the AKReverbVolume.

Hi Tom!

I use it on PC, so I am unsure if UE4 on MAC is different. But this may just be a wwise side problem. Did you have the "game defined aux sends" checked?

You may have accidentally checked the user defined one. If you have any auxiliary sends in the user defined one it may be going through those. OR you may have accidentally added in the reverb through the effects tab.

Hope this helps.

Hey Rob, thanks for the response! So, if I am using the AKReverbVolume I should be using "Game Defined Auxiliary Sends" and the "User Defined Auxiliary sends" should be blank?

Here is a picture of my settings. I am seeing the audio object through the Aux Bus even when I am not inside the AKReverbVolume. It gets signal to the Aux Bus regardless of where I am in the map, while connected.

That is indeed correct, the game should be able to tell wwise when to send the sounds.

As for why it is getting the auxiliary bus regardless where you are on the map... one thing that comes to mind is if you have generated the banks again after you saved your changes in wwise.

There is also the off chance that your volume could be huge.

Check if your sound is 2D or 3D, should be 3D.

Check if your sound is indeed attached to the object and it is getting into the reverb volume.

Those are all I can think of that could be the problem at the moment.
