Hello,

Our game is develop for iOS with Unity 5.3.5 and Wwise 2015.1.4 and we would like to have the audio working when we play the game through Airplay (via an AppleTV or software like Airserver). Until now when we launch the app in Airplay there is no sound played whether on the iPad or on the targeted Airplay device.

With our programmer we have not been able to find the proper AudioSession for our need. Also we are not sure how to configure the app plist. In the Wwise SDK Documentation the only mention about Airplay is the following :

If your app needs to support background audio processing such as in a voice recording app or a music player app, this mode is the only Wwise-supported one that allows it. To do so, however, the app option plist must be modified to add the required background mode key set to 1 for the 'App plays audio or streams audio/video using Airplay' field.

But we are a bit confuse because we don't really want to support background audio processing. Is there a way to enable "App plays audio or streams audio/video using Airplay" without being in background mode?

Thank you.

Exactly the same here. All Wwise calls return all success codes but the Apple TV does not produce any sound.
Our app is a game and background audio processing is highly undesirable - as a matter of fact, the docs mention something about it being used only when absolutely necessary.
So, did anybody get the sound to work over Airplay? What session type? Any callbacks or extra calls needed?
Thanks.

Asking in many places helped, posting answer here in case if anybody else runs into the same issue. This got fixed in Wwise 2016.1.1 and later versions - just upgrade to the latest SDK.
