Can you use source made from the Strata library after license expires? Say, I get some of the sounds from the library, process it and make source out of it, would I be able to create designed sounds from them even after the license expires? This would be for personal projects only.

Hello

we have a few examples in our FAQ section regarding usage after a subscription ends and how the sounds can be used and synchronized.

https://www.audiokinetic.com/en/strata/licensing/faq/strataLicenses

some pertinant sections:

You can include rendered sounds in any media and can use them in perpetuity, as long as the rendered media is synchronised into a product during a valid subscription period. For instance, you can use them in any mobile, PC, or console video game, podcast, or livestream, add them to musical compositions, movies, or live theatre/music productions, broadcast them over the radio or television, use them in advertisements, or post them on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, or other social media.

You are free to continue to use the sounds as part of a product if the sound was integrated into the product during your subscription in accordance with the Strata License Agreement even after your subscription is over. However, sounds that you created or edited can be re-used in a project that is directly dependent on the original production where the sounds were first published, such as a sequel or expansion pack. Otherwise, you can no longer create any new sounds or use any of the source sounds or rendered sounds that were made available to you through Strata.

Let us know if you have further quesitons.
