Can I fix a project with Work Unit Errors?

Question

Got this message from the project loader

"This Project contained some integrity problems which were automatically fixed"

It then showed a long list (all I think) of missing Work Units and said it had recreated them. Open the project up and everything is gone. No imported sounds, not evidence of work or units....

Can anyone tell me why the error occurred in the first place? It also is happening with every lesson demo I've done recently to learn Wwise, so apparently a version wide issue.
