The Audiokinetic Launcher is the tool that you use to install and modify Wwise, the Wwise SDK, samples, integrations, Strata collections, and other components. This guide provides information and step-by-step instructions to install the Launcher and, subsequently, all other components. Some basic concepts are explained, but some sections require familiarity with code modifications.
Before you install the Launcher, ensure that you meet the following requirements:
If you're planning to install Wwise, your system must meet the minimum Wwise system requirements. See Wwise System Requirements in the Wwise Help.
You must have a stable Internet connection to download the Launcher, view Home page content, and connect to the customer portal.
To install the Launcher:
On the download page, click Download Audiokinetic Launcher. The installation file is downloaded.
Do one of the following, depending on your operating system:
On Windows: Run the WwiseLauncher.exe
file.
On macOS: Run the WwiseLauncher.pkg
file.
After you download and install the Launcher, you will receive occasional prompts to install updates. Although you do not have to install them immediately, it is highly recommended that you do so as soon as possible. The updates do not affect your installations and integrations.
If this is your first time installing the Launcher, you must log in with your Audiokinetic account credentials.
Open the Launcher. A log in prompt appears.
Type your registered account credentials and click Log in or, if you don't have an account, click Sign up now to create one.
After you log in, the Launcher home page opens.
To install Wwise, see Installing Wwise and Its Components.
To install Strata collections, see Strata.

If you are on macOS, you need to install a CHM reader. We recommend you search the Apple App Store for ".chm". There are several readers to choose from.
