FX Controls tracks affect the output of individual layer tracks. They control several parameters simultaneously: the individual parameters controlled are scaled to designed ranges, and the FX controls have an envelope that can be automated. The track names correspond to the effects they simulate as an overall result of their manipulation. This allows complex and significant editing of multiple sounds through a single control. The control track is colored gray and the individual envelope control tracks are a darker shade of gray.
