Strata is preconfigured in the REAPER subprojects to embed metadata in many audio formats
and with significant redundancy to support many different programs and platforms and their
varying abilities to read metadata. This allows rendering to many different audio formats
without requiring manual adjustment of metadata settings each time a file or thousands of files
are rendered. The audio included with Strata is in Broadcast Wave format. A majority of the
metadata is embedded in the BWF, ASWG, INFO, and USER iXML schemas.
All of the audio files in the collection contain extensive embedded metadata. This data is
derived from the collection's SoundBook. This spreadsheet includes sheets that are the data
input for the metadata and sheets that are derived from metadata read from the included audio
files. The metadata in the files in the Rendered folders is embedded by REAPER.
The metadata applied by default during Render to file is specific to each
collection subproject. It is derived from a combination of the data in the data
region and region name, REAPER $wildcards and the values and $wildcards in the
REAPER Project Render Metadata window, which you can open from the REAPER File
menu.
The values in the Project Render Metadata window are common to all of the Strata
subprojects.
