Wwise

Add existing (Windows only): Opens a system file browser to add a Wwise version not listed here.

Use offline installer: See Installing Wwise with an Offline Installer.

Wwise installations with version number: Version numbers are in the format YEAR.MAJOR.MINOR.BUILD. See Wwise Versioning.

Launch Wwise (64-bit): Click to launch Wwise. Click the list for the following options:

Click to view the release notes and, depending on the installation, offline documentation and an option to take a survey.

Click to open a list with the following options:

  • Manage Plug-ins: Opens the Plug-ins page of the Launcher.

  • Open Containing Folder: Opens a file browser at the directory containing the installation.

  • Create Desktop Shortcut: Creates a desktop shortcut that opens this version of Wwise.

  • Set Environment Variables (Windows only): Opens a dialog that offers to set the following environment variables:

    • WWISEROOT: identifies the main installer folder.

    • WWISESDK: identifies the SDK location.

  • Modify: Click to change the packages and deployment platforms of the installation. See Adding Platform Components to Your Current Installation.

  • Uninstall: Click to remove the installation. See Uninstalling Wwise.

INSTALL A NEW VERSION: Presents a list of available versions for installation. See Installing Wwise through the Launcher. Click Release Notes to open the release notes of the selected version.

Install: Install the selected version or create an offline installer. See Installing Wwise with an Offline Installer.
