Wwise Unreal Integration Documentation

Each version of this integration matches a specific build of Unreal Engine. Here is what has changed in the 2022.1.11.8414.2920 release of the integration (in addition to upgrading to the new Unreal build).

This integration does not support experimental Unreal Engine features.

Note:

This integration was compiled against Unreal Engine version 4.27, 5.1, 5.2, and 5.3. It was tested against Unreal Engine 5.3. Any major Unreal Engine version more recent than the aforementioned is not currently supported, but will be in a subsequent patch release.
Deprecation Notice: Support for Unreal Engine 4.27 will be removed in a future minor release. We recommend that you use Unreal Engine 5.1 or later.

WG-69919 Added the ability to override the Default Asset Creation Path used when reconciling Wwise UAssets.

Miscellaneous Changes

WG-70487 Changed the name of Wwise Unreal Integration's Global Decay Absorption setting to Default Surface Absorption.

Bug Fixes

WG-69829 Fixed: (Spatial Audio) Rotating dynamic Unreal room objects doesn't update their orientation in the sound engine.

Fixes for Community-Reported Bugs

WG-70178 Fixed: Crash when calling PostAkEventAndWaitForEnd with a string.
WG-70220 Fixed: Slow refresh of Wwise Browser on some large Wwise projects.

Documentation Improvements

WG-68534 Added note on movement behavior of dynamic AkRoomComponents to Wwise Spatial Audio Objects.
