Wwise Unreal Integration Documentation
Release Notes 2023.1.2.8444.2933

Each version of this integration matches a specific build of Unreal Engine. Here is what has changed in the 2023.1.2.8444.2933 release of the integration (in addition to upgrading to the new Unreal build).

Note:
This integration does not support experimental Unreal Engine features.
Note:
This integration was compiled against Unreal Engine version 5.2 and 5.3. It was tested against Unreal Engine 5.3. Any major Unreal Engine version more recent than the aforementioned is not currently supported, but will be in a subsequent patch release.

  • WG-69919 Added the ability to override the Default Asset Creation Path used when reconciling Wwise UAssets.

Miscellaneous Changes

  • WG-70487 Changed the name of Wwise Unreal Integration's Global Decay Absorption setting to Default Surface Absorption.

Bug Fixes

  • WG-68633 Fixed: (Spatial Audio) The parameter Set Transmission Loss of the AkRoom component is not updated when edited through a Blueprint.
  • WG-68639 Fixed: (Spatial Audio) Reverb parameter estimation isn't enabled in packaged games on AkLateReverbComponent/AkRoomComponent pairs that don't use an automatically assigned aux bus.
  • WG-69829 Fixed: (Spatial Audio) Rotating dynamic Unreal room objects doesn't update their orientation in the sound engine.
  • WG-69896 Fixed: (Spatial Audio) Reverb Zone properties persist after disabling the Room component.
  • WG-69908 Fixed: (Spatial Audio) Enabling or disabling a Room or Reverb Zone component can result in the wrong parent room.
  • WG-70037 Fixed: (Spatial Audio) The parameter AuxSendLevel of the AkRoom component is not updated when edited through a blueprint.
  • WG-70124 Fixed: (Spatial Audio) In the Room component's Details panel, Parent Room Name doesn't become unavailable when Enable Reverb Zone is false.
  • WG-70720 Fixed: (Spatial Audio) A stack overflow crash when duplicating an actor with a reverb zone component.

Fixes for Community-Reported Bugs

  • WG-69765 Fixed: (Spatial Audio) Crash on map unload that contains an AkRoom.
  • WG-70220 Fixed: Slow refresh of Wwise Browser on some large Wwise projects.
