Wwise Unreal Integration Documentation
Release Notes 2022.1.4.8200.2650

Each version of this integration matches a specific build of Unreal Engine. Here is what has changed in the 2022.1.4.8200.2650 release of the integration (in addition to upgrading to the new Unreal build).

Note:
This integration does not support experimental Unreal Engine features.
Note:
This integration was compiled against Unreal Engine version 4.27, 5.0, and 5.1. It was tested against Unreal Engine 5.1. Any major Unreal Engine version more recent than the aforementioned is not currently supported, but will be in a subsequent patch release.

API Changes

  • WG-64604 IWwiseSoundEngineAPI::IQuery::GetMaxRadius and GetActiveGameObjects methods now take an Unreal array as parameter instead of an AkArray. This resolves a memory crash.

Fixes for Community-Reported Bugs

  • WG-64146 Fixed: Crash when no Event is associated with an AkEvent section in a Level Sequence.
  • WG-64699 Fixed: No audio in Cook on the Fly mode.
  • WG-64704 Fixed: Running Garbage Collector on the main thread can cause a hang.
  • WG-64730 Fixed: Packaging a Server platform requires the generated SoundBanks.
  • WG-64834 Fixed: Too many Thread Events are used during asset loading, unloading, and streaming.
  • WG-64835 Fixed: Hang while loading missing streamed assets.
  • WG-64950 Fixed: Auto-defined Zero Latency prefetched media are not provided to SoundEngine fast enough to avoid Source Starvation in Music.
