Version
The Advanced Folder Picker Dialog helps to specify and build paths for some project settings such as Original and Cache folders. In particular, the dialog can help with previewing the inclusion of any environment variables used by those settings.
Interface Element |
Description |
---|---|
Path |
The string that is returned when the dialog is closed by clicking OK. |
Browse |
Opens a folder picker dialog to allow you to navigate to the location of a folder. |
Preview |
A preview of what the Path will be evaluated to, with any environment variable expanded to its real value. If Preview as Absolute Path is set, then the preview also attempts to convert the Path from a relative path to an absolute path, matching how it is used by the corresponding system in practice. |
Environment Variables |
A list of environment variables that can be used as macros for the path. |
Right-click the table header to open the Configure Columns dialog where you can specify which columns to display and their order. See Using tables. | |
Name |
The name of the environment variable. |
Current Value |
The current value of the environment variable. |
Adds the selected environment variable to the Path. The variable will either be added at the position of the cursor or will replace the selected text in the command line. As an alternative to clicking Insert, you can double-click a variable in the list to add it to the command line. | |
Closes the dialog, and returns the path. | |
Closes the dialog without returning the path. |
