Wwise Unreal Integration Documentation
Release Notes 2023.1.8

Each version of this integration matches a specific build of Unreal Engine. Here is what has changed in the 2023.1.8 release of the integration (in addition to upgrading to the new Unreal build).

Note:
This integration does not support experimental Unreal Engine features.

  • This integration was compiled against Unreal Engine version 5.2, 5.3 and 5.4. It was tested against Unreal Engine 5.4.

New Features

  • WG-50767 Added new functions to set the parameters of the Outdoors Room of Spatial Audio.
  • WG-72478 Added support for new Cooking Dependencies for Unreal Engine 5.5, allowing Incremental Cooking.
  • WG-72572 Added Integrations version number to 22.1, 23.1 and 24.1.
  • WG-74239 Added support for Unreal 5.5.

Performance Changes

  • WG-73762 Wwise Project Database loads faster.

Bug Fixes

  • WG-66975 Fixed: (Spatial Audio) Spatial Audio Volume's Fit to Geometry is at the bottom of the Details panel.
  • WG-71245 Fixed: (Spatial Audio) Duplicated Blueprint actor with a Late Reverb Component becomes text.
  • WG-73966 Fixed: Wwise Authoring can't be remote connected to a project on Mac.
  • WG-74499 Fixed: Events sometimes do not pause correctly in the Sequencer.

Fixes for Community-Reported Bugs

  • WG-73545 Fixed: Excessive logs after terminating sound engine.
  • WG-73993 Fixed: Crashes in Execution Queue during exit.
  • WG-74035 Fixed: (Spatial Audio) Spatial Audio uses the wrong API call.
  • WG-74111 Fixed: LLM Parent tag was not available errors occur when the Wwise Demo Game is opened in the Unreal Editor.
  • WG-74328 Fixed: Errors occurred when loading certain Events and languages.
