Performance Changes

  • WG-56533 Improved the performance of Global scope RTPC-driven Switch Containers.

Miscellaneous Changes

  • WG-57325 Removed support for Unreal Engine 4.25. The minimum version is now 4.26.
  • WG-57503 Removed Wwise SDK support for Magic Leap (Lumin).
  • WG-57526 Wwise now supports Windows 11.

Bug Fixes

  • WG-55883 Fixed: Media not converted correctly after using the File Manager to move the source.
  • WG-56196 Fixed: Possible crash in Advanced Profiler view on Wwise shutdown.
  • WG-56201 Fixed: AkGlobalCallbackLocation_WakeupFromSuspend callback is not fired after calling AK::SoundEngine::WakeupFromSuspend if all active outputs are "secondary".
  • WG-56377 Fixed: File package entries are stored with a 32-bit sector StreamMgrModule.h::AkFileDesc::uSector.
  • WG-56454 Fixed: (wp.py) Package command truncates long file paths during package creation.
  • WG-56508 Fixed: Opus streams starve when zero-latency sounds play.
  • WG-56879 Fixed: (wp.py) The generate-bundle action produces identical values for the "name" field of Authoring entries with different configurations.

Fixes for Community-Reported Bugs

  • WG-55531 Fixed: MIDI file source references are sometimes removed from Work Unit files.
  • WG-56195 Fixed: Possible crash when opening a corrupt profiling session.
  • WG-56346 Fixed: Playing streamed media with headers larger than the stream I/O granularity, such as some long WEM Opus files, results in the "File header too large" error.
  • WG-56351 Fixed: Crash in CAkRTPCMgr::AkRTPCSubscription::PushUpdate when Blend Containers are driven by Modulators with properties controlled by RTPCs.
  • WG-56645 Fixed: XMA crash on GDK when recovering from an earlier decode error.
  • WG-56664 Fixed: Assert and crash when parameters are driven by MIDI Velocity.
  • WG-56680 Fixed: Performance degradation when many Switch Containers are loaded and when the values of RTPC-driven Switches change.
  • WG-56717 Fixed: Possible erroneous assert in function CAkParameterTarget::SetRootNode.
  • WG-57194 Fixed: Rounding difference in MaxAttenuation and MaxDuration information in SoundBanks.xml data due to CRT installed on host machine.
  • WG-57204 Fixed: Crash when using XMA and unloading banks through memory pointers at the same time, instead of using the bank ID or file name.
