Randomizer View

The Randomizer allows you to randomly modify the property values of an object each time it is played. You can specify a range of possible values for a particular property, so that each time the object is played, a different property value is used.

[Note] Note

The Randomizer title bar displays the name of the selected Wwise object, or the number of objects selected if more than one object. Additionally, it displays the property on which the Randomizer has been applied. For example, MySoundObject - Voice Pitch - Randomizer in the title bar means that a Randomizer has been applied on the Voice Pitch property of an object entitled MySoundObject.

Interface Element

Description

Name

The name of the Randomizer property, among the following:

  • Randomizer\Enabled: Determines whether the Randomizer is applied to the object property value or not. If selected, the Randomizer is applied. If unselected, the Randomizer is not applied to the object property value.
  • Randomizer\Min Offset: An offset applied to the property value that defines the minimum possible value of the property.
  • Randomizer\Max Offset: An offset applied to the property value that defines the maximum possible value of the property.

Value

The applicable check box or field value of the named Randomizer property.

When the Randomizer View is loaded with multiple objects, there could be an assortment of applicable values.

  • For the Enabled check box, a filled box is displayed to indicate the Randomizer is enabled for some of the selected objects but not all of them.
  • For the Min and Max Offset fields, a small dash, "-", is displayed to indicate that a single value cannot be displayed.

An open Randomizer View, like the Multi Editor, will reload with different objects when the focus shifts to elsewhere in the UI. However, as the Randomizer pertains to a specific property, such as Voice Volume, the initially loaded property will persist until it is explicitly changed. And objects missing the currently loaded property will not open in the Randomizer.
