Rendering Audio Files

In every collection, each subproject has a Rendered folder that contains rendered audio files of all of its regions. The rendered .wav files are in BWF format with a 96 kHz sampling rate and 24-bit depth, as well as extensive embedded metadata.

The Rendered folder is configured as a relative path, as described in the the section called “Recommended REAPER Settings” section. The relative path ensures that the output file location is predictable even if you move the projects on your local file system.

As you work with the collection and modify sounds in REAPER, you can render audio files from your subprojects at any time.

To render audio files:

  1. Expand the Region Marker Manager, which is docked at the bottom of the REAPER interface.

  2. Hold Ctrl and click all of the regions that you want to render.

The following example shows several selected Shot Composite regions:

  3. In the menu bar, click File > Render. The Render to File window opens.

Note the following in the preceding example image:

  4. Click Render N files. The audio files are rendered and output to the Rendered subproject folder. The file names use a combination of the data region and selected region names.
