In the Source Settings tab, you can define the following for your project:
Default Conversion Settings ShareSet that will be used for newly created objects
Sample Rate Automatic Detection
Volume thresholds used by the automatic sample rate detection

Default Conversion Settings
(ShareSet) |
The name of the ShareSet that will be used as the project's default Conversion Settings. The default Conversion Settings will be used in the following situations: When a new object is created. The default Conversion Settings will only be used if the new object is a top-level parent object. If the new object is a child of another object, it will inherit the Conversion Settings assigned to the parent. During SoundBank generation for all objects that have not been assigned a Conversion Settings ShareSet. |
(Browse) |
Opens the Project Explorer - Browser where you can navigate to and select the ShareSet that you want to use as your project's default Conversion Settings. |
Sample Rate Automatic Detection
Auto Detect FFT Window Size |
Defines the size of the Hanning window used by the FFT algorithm to analyze the media file’s sound wave. Wwise uses the FFT algorithm to automatically detect an appropriate sample rate for your media files when you select the Auto Low, Auto Medium, or Auto High options from the Sample Rate list in the Conversion Settings dialog. Default value: 512 |
Volume Thresholds | |
Low quality |
Defines the cutoff volume threshold that identifies the frequency that is used to determine the best sample rate for a given media file. A higher threshold level will result in a lower quality sample rate used in the conversion process. The low quality volume threshold value is used in the context of a normalized spectrum. The low quality volume threshold is used when you select the Auto Low option from the Sample Rate list in the Conversion Settings dialog. Default value: -30 Range: -96.3 to 0 |
Medium quality |
Defines the cutoff volume threshold that identifies the frequency that is used to determine the best sample rate for a given media file. A higher threshold level will result in a lower quality sample rate used in the conversion process. The medium quality volume threshold value is used in the context of a normalized spectrum. The medium quality volume threshold is used when you select the Auto Medium option from the Sample Rate list in the Conversion Settings dialog. Default value: -40 Range: -96.3 to 0 |
High quality |
Defines the cutoff volume threshold that identifies the frequency that is used to determine the best sample rate for a given media file. A higher threshold level will result in a lower quality sample rate used in the conversion process. The high quality volume threshold value is used in the context of a normalized spectrum. The high quality volume threshold is used when you select the Auto High option from the Sample Rate list in the Conversion Settings dialog. Default value: -50 Range: -96.3 to 0 |
