When you create a new project element outside of the Project Explorer, the New dialog opens where you must specify the Work Unit within which the new element will be created.

Opens a search field where standard alphanumeric entries filter out unmatching elements from the view. Learn more in Using tables. Exceptionally, however, the New dialog searches, like those of the Project Explorer - Browser, do not work exactly the same as other search filters. Instead, they work similarly to Searching for elements within your project. This means that:
Click the Close icon to the left of the search icon to close the search field and remove the filter. | ||

(Hierarchy) |
Displays the structure in the Project Explorer for the corresponding project element. For example, if you click the browse […] button in the Output Bus panel in the Property Editor, the Bus hierarchy will be displayed. | ||
|
Name |
The name of the new project element. | ||
 |
Creates the new project element in the Work Unit that you selected. | ||
 |
Closes the New-Browser without creating an object in the Project hierarchy. |
