SoundBanks

The Advanced Profiler - SoundBanks tab displays information about the SoundBanks that have been implicitly or explicitly loaded into memory, including the SoundBank size, the number of media files it contains, and the location in memory where the media has been loaded. SoundBanks are explicitly loaded into memory when the LoadBank() function is used.

Interface Element

Description

Opens a search field where standard alphanumeric entries filter out unmatching elements from the view. Learn more in Using Tables.

Click the Close icon to the left of the search icon to close the search field and remove the filter.

[Note]Note

The searches do not include elements in collapsed nodes of the List View, Query Editor, MIDI Keymap Editor, and Reference View.

Click the Configure Columns... shortcut (right-click) option from the column header band.

The Configure Columns Dialog opens. Specify which columns to display and their order.

Name

The name of the SoundBank loaded into memory.

Media Memory

The amount of memory taken by the SoundBank and its corresponding media files.

In the case of streamed media or auto-defined SoundBanks, Media Memory will be 0 bytes. In the latter case, SoundBanks automatically defined by Wwise for Events only include the Event and referenced Structures, and explicitly exclude media.

Depending on the size of the SoundBank, the memory value will be displayed in either bytes, kilobytes (KB), or megabytes (MB).

Object Memory

The amount of memory that has been taken up by the sound structures loaded from the SoundBank.

Wwise Objects

The number of Wwise objects, such as sound and motion objects, containers, Actor-Mixers, and busses, that are currently loaded into memory.

Media Files

The number of media files that are currently loaded into memory.

Memory Category

The name of the memory category into which the SoundBank media has been loaded.

Explicit Load

Displays whether the SoundBank has been explicitly loaded using the LoadBank() function or implicitly, using the PrepareEvent()function.
