You can create your project languages in the Language Manager. When you create your languages, you can also define the volume offsets for the language files.
In the Wwise menu bar, select Project > Languages…. The Language Manager is displayed.
From here, you can:

Click Add....
The Add Language dialog box is displayed.
Enter a language name, using any OS-supported characters.

Now or later, you can use the Make-Up Gain slider to offset the language's volume between -24 and 24 dB. You may need to define volume offsets because your localized assets will consist of dialogue from different studios with different actors and recording conditions, and you may need to balance them and match the levels for each language. |
Click OK to confirm the new language and close the Add Language dialog.
The new language and pending actions ("Add") appear in their respective columns of the new bottom row of the Language Manager.

If desired, you can click Remove to instantly delete a selected new entry. |
Click OK to commit the newly added languages.
A message box appears warning you that the contents of the Wwise clipboard and the undo history will be cleared.
Click Yes to proceed with the pending actions.
Another warning appears to remind you to verify your code for the language changes, especially for the GeneratedSoundBanks and Originals paths.
Click OK to continue with the changes.
The Process Log opens with messages of success for the specified actions. And your project Language Selector list is updated with the newly added languages.
Select the listed language you want to remove.
Click Remove.
The Pending Actions column of the selected Language is marked Remove.

To cancel the Remove action, you can close the Language Manager or click Cancel. |
Click OK to activate the removal of the selected languages.
A warning appears explaining that these language changes cannot be undone.
Click Yes to proceed with the pending actions.
Another warning appears to remind you to verify the language changes, especially in GeneratedSoundBanks and Originals path names.
Click OK to continue with the changes.
The Process Log opens with messages of success for the specified actions. And your project Language Selector list is updated to remove the specified languages.
Click Rename....
The Rename Language dialog opens.
Enter the new language name, using any OS-supported characters.
Click OK to confirm the new language name and close the Rename Language dialog.
The new language name and pending actions ("Rename 'language'") appear in their respective columns of the selected language.
Click OK to commit the newly added languages.
A message box appears warning you that the contents of the Wwise clipboard and the undo history will be cleared.
Click Yes to proceed with the pending actions.
Another warning appears to remind you to verify your code for the language changes, especially for the GeneratedSoundBanks and Originals paths.
Click OK to continue with the changes.
The Process Log opens with messages of success (or, possibly, errors) for the specified actions. And your project Language Selector list is updated with the new name for the language.
Select a language from the Reference language list.
Optionally, you can enable the Use reference language as stand-in. This will result in the inclusion of reference language audio files in SoundBanks for other languages that do not yet have a localized version of the file.
Click OK to confirm the new reference language and its stand-in status.
A message box appears warning you that the contents of the Wwise clipboard and the undo history will be cleared.
Click Yes to proceed with the pending actions.
Another warning appears to remind you to verify your code for the language changes, especially for the GeneratedSoundBanks and Originals paths.
Click OK to continue with the changes.
