When integrating Game Sync calls from Unity, creating custom scripts or using premade components are both valid methods. Custom scripts will allow you to control your sounds from systems with other functionalities, like detecting the surface material in the Wwise Adventure Game. Whereas, by using the premade scripts from the Wwise Unity Integration, you conveniently have the defined Trigger On options at your disposal. An important thing to keep in mind in either case is the difference between the Game Syncs, whether they are assigned in a global or game object scope.
