• Late reverb playing from a 3D bus keeps its orientation with regard to the Room, which makes for a convincing sense of presence. This example showcases the AK Convolution Reverb plug-in using a first order ambisonics IR that purposely steers the energy in one direction.

• Note: The IR has been exaggerated to make the oriented reverberation effect more obvious.

• Shoot the tennis ball launcher by clicking the mouse (the RT button) repeatedly while turning.

What to Expect:

• You should notice how the reverb tail propagation is decoupled from the listener's orientation. It remains "attached" to the Room, which usually gives a more natural feel for the space.
