The most common scenario for voice chat integration is to send the player’s voice, isolated from the rest of the game audio.
To send discrete audio:
In the Actor-Mixer Hierarchy, create a Sound SFX object in the Default Work Unit and name it GME Send.
Select the GME Send Sound SFX, click Add Source >> in the Content Editor, and select the Tencent GME Source plug-in.
The GME Send source plug-in receives its audio from the microphone configured in your computer’s operating system. There are no settings associated with this source plug-in.
In the Effects tab, insert the GME Send effect plug-in in the last effect slot. Note that the GME Send effect plug-in intercepts the audio from Wwise and sends it to the other players. The speaking player never hears their own voice in the final game mix.
You can now send audio from your system to other players in the same chat room.
To set up GME to send non-voice signals like WAV files and sound effects, blend the signal with a GME source object with the GME source object's volume set to -96 dB.
