Strata consists of multiple collections of sounds and effects organized by project.
Each collection has a main project as well as multiple subprojects that you can open in
REAPER. This section describes the structure of Strata projects and folders, and provides
some guidelines to help you work with the project files.
The hierarchy of a Strata collection follows a standard structure:
Strata uses a set of 16 SWS custom colors
extensively throughout all collections. The custom colors aid navigation and ensure that
information is displayed consistently.
The colors alternate between light and dark shades and were chosen with accessibility for colorblind persons in mind.
To load the custom SWS color set:
Ensure you have installed the SWS Extension.
In REAPER, open a project.
Right-click a track, and in the shortcut menu click Track color > SWS track color > Show color management. The
SWS Color Management window opens.
Click Load color set from file.
Browse to the Strata <installation path>\Documentation directory to locate the .SWSColor
files, which were downloaded the first time you downloaded a collection. Note, the installation path is defined in the Launcher at the top of the Strata page.
Select the .SWSColor
file relevant to your operating system and click Open. The colors are assigned to the 16 custom color slots.
Viewing Collections in REAPER
Refer to REAPER Reference to learn essential REAPER terminology.
Strata collections share similar structures and colors in REAPER. When you’re
familiar with the basic pattern, you can work with any Strata collection.
To view a collection in REAPER:
From the <CollectionName> folder, open the
<CollectionName>.rpp file in REAPER. In the following example, a
Strata collection is open in the main window. The REAPER Region/Marker
Manager, which you can open from the View menu, is docked at the right and
the Media Explorer is docked at the bottom. The main output fader is visible
and the transport is docked at the top left of the main window.
