Human Movement Collection Guide
This collection provides a plethora of sounds a human character makes moving in a broad
range of clothing, equipped with various accessories, armor, and gear. Armor sounds are
provided in steel, chainmail, plate, and leather, while a range of fabrics, from lightweight
to heavily equipped, are provided for modern soldiers. The subprojects are structured to
facilitate the rendering of multiple layers for multiple pieces of armor, allowing for
custom character design, armor upgrades, and ever-growing backpacks.
Each type of clothing has a similar set of movements, such as grabs, impacts, bodyfalls,
and steps. There is a blend between close and distant recordings for customization of the
sounds to the perspective they will commonly be heard from, whether intimate first-person,
third-person, or distant NPC.
The complete list of all subprojects and their associated data and embedded metadata is
available in the accompanying Human Movement SoundBook.
