Track Layers Specific to the Physics Collection

The subprojects in the Physics collection all use similar sets of track layers as described in the following sections.

Composite

Composite is the combination of the layers that make up the sound.

Basic Layer 1

Basic Layer 1 is the main body of the sound. It provides a solid definition.

Details Layer 2

The Details layer is for embellishment. Typically, this is some associated debris or similar sound that enhances aspects that you would hear in close proximity to the object.

Weight Layer 3

The Weight layer contains sound elements that emphasize the perceived mass of the object or surface. These sounds are typically low frequencies.

Custom Layer 4

The Custom layer includes any sounds that add characteristics specific to the object.

Loop Start

The Loop Start is a composite track of elements that make up only the start of a scrape or bend sound. The looping part of a scrape or bend is rendered in the Composite layer.

Loop Stop

The Loop Stop is a composite track of elements that make up only the end of a scrape or bend sound, which is played as the object stops scraping or bending. The looping part of a scrape or bend is rendered in the Composite layer.
