Wwise Unreal Integration Documentation
Release Notes 2023.1.6

Each version of this integration matches a specific build of Unreal Engine. Here is what has changed in the 2023.1.6 release of the integration (in addition to upgrading to the new Unreal build).

This integration does not support experimental Unreal Engine features.

  • This integration was compiled against Unreal Engine version 5.2, 5.3 and 5.4. It was tested against Unreal Engine 5.4.

New Features

  • WG-72409 Added a log to ShouldMove Reconcile Function for clarity.
  • WG-72474 The Wwise Browser now prevents a WAAPI connection if the Root Output Paths in the Wwise and Unreal projects do not match.

Bug Fixes

  • WG-69721 Fixed: Crash in error message translator when the Wwise Project Database is unavailable.
  • WG-72202 Fixed: (Spatial Audio) There is no attenuation scaling factor for rooms.
  • WG-72552 Fixed: Switch and State values do not appear in Data Structures.

Fixes for Community-Reported Bugs

  • WG-70705 Fixed: Crash when exiting Play In Editor.
  • WG-71102 Fixed: Crash in FAkEnvironmentIndex caused by disabled AkRoomComponent references.
  • WG-72653 Fixed: Crash during shutdown when calling WwiseUnrealHelper functions.
  • WG-73027 Fixed: Individual Brush faces on AkSurfaceReflectorSet components are not selectable if polygon is split into multiple BSP nodes.
