Version
The specified SoundBank was not loaded because it was generated with a different version of the Wwise authoring tool than the in-game sound engine. Remember that Wwise has two components: the authoring tool that sound designer use, and the sound engine component included (usually statically linked) in the game. Both must be at the same version.
For Unity and Unreal users, the sound engine part is installed with the Unity/Unreal Wwise Integration.
This error can only occur for discrepancies on major version changes. Major version are numbered as YEAR.MAJOR.PATCH.BUILD If the PATCH (third) number is not 0, it is a patch/minor release over the major release. Patch releases keep bank compatibility with all other patch releases of the same major release, unless otherwise stated in the release notes.
Probable causes:
A recent update to Wwise was made, but only the authoring tool was updated. Update the SDK component or the Unity/Unreal Wwise integration for all platforms of your project.
A recent update to Wwise was made, but SoundBanks were not regenerated and redeployed for all platforms of your project.
The SoundBank loaded was generated with a different Wwise version. Make sure your new SoundBanks are also copied to the right location for the game to read it.
The SoundBank loaded was generated for a different platform than the current one. For example, if you are running on Xbox, make sure the bank was not generated for Windows.
The memory containing the bank has been corrupted (when a memory pointer, in_pInMemoryBankPtr, is used with LoadBank).
There is a stale or orphaned SoundBank file on your console's test sandbox drive. Delete all .bnk files from your console and redeploy the game.
