Wwise Unity Integration Documentation
Release Notes - Wwise Unity Integration 2023.1.1.8417.3007

This release delivers the Wwise SDK update for Wwise 2023.1.1.

Compatibility:

  • Wwise SDK: 2023.1.1
  • Unity: The integration was tested with Unity 2023.2.3f1. The minimum supported version is 2020.3 and the maximum supported version is 2023.2.

Performance Changes

  • WG-69395 Support for the Memory Span Count setting introduced by WG-68992 has been added in the Advanced Settings. This can be used to significantly reduce the amount of memory reserved by Wwise at a small cost to overall CPU performance.

Miscellaneous Changes

  • WG-68202 Changed the default value of the Reverb Zone's Transition Region to a non-zero value.

Bug Fixes

  • WG-68461 Fixed: (Spatial Audio) Reverb Zone requires AKSurfaceReflector component to enable the Transition Region.
  • WG-68629 Fixed: Crash when sound engine errors are printed in Unity.
  • WG-68716 Fixed: (Spatial Audio) Portals that connect sibling Reverb Zones are not displayed in red despite being invalid.
  • WG-68980 Fixed: (Spatial Audio) Portal doesn't update if moved while still keeping the same front and back rooms.

Fixes for Community-Reported Bugs

  • WG-69036 Fixed: InvalidOperationException in Unity when the debugger is attached.
  • WG-69340 Fixed: ProjectData creations sometimes fail on editor startup.
  • WG-69422 Fixed: (Spatial Audio) Unity Portals don't open if they are closed on initial state.
