Switches

A Switch is a Wwise element that represents one of potentially many alternatives that could exist for a particular element in game. It helps to manage the corresponding objects for these alternatives and to streamline the organization of your sound, music, and motion objects.

Switches are organized into Switch Groups, which are representative of any variety of game element. For example, the element could be the player's weapon arsenal, while the alternatives could be different types of weapons. You would assign each of the alternative objects to a corresponding Switch and these objects will play based on the Switch that is active in the game.
