Filtering in the profiling views
When looking at a profiling session, it is not uncommon to have a lot data
visible at the same time, making it difficult to clearly assess what is
happening. You can filter the displayed data in most of the profiling views,
making it possible to reduce the visual clutter and focus on the objects of
interest.
A filtering toolbar is available in the following locations:
Filtering in profiling views enables you to reduce the amount of information
displayed in the views. Using the filtering toolbar, you can filter data in
three ways:

Filtering the content of a profiling view does not affect the data recorded in the profiler capture session. It only affects the display of information. |
Linked and unlinked filtering
By default, the filters in all profiling views are synchronized. This can be especially
useful to correlate information between different data types in the profiling
views.
A filter can be unlinked from the others by clicking the Link/Unlink button. When
unlinked, the filter applies to the current view. This enables the current
view to filter its content using different criteria than the synchronized
filters. At any time, the filter can be linked again and the view is
re-synchronized. Additionally, an unlinked filter can be promoted to the other
views, effectively synchronizing the different views.
