Effect ShareSet not found in function ...

The Effect ShareSet referred to by a parameter of the specified function was not found in any of the SoundBanks loaded at the time.

Probable causes:

  • The SoundBank containing this Effect ShareSet is not loaded yet or has been unloaded before the call.

  • The Effect ShareSet is not part of any SoundBanks in the project.

  • There is a typo in the ID passed in the function parameters.

  • The SoundBank was not regenerated or redeployed after adding the Effect ShareSet to the project.

[Note]Note

Effect ShareSets that are used by Busses are packaged in the Init SoundBank if the Bus leads to a used Audio Device ShareSet. If not, the Effect ShareSet must be manually added to a User-Defined SoundBank, and that SoundBank must be loaded by the game.

Recommended resolution steps:

  • Connect the Wwise Profiler to verify if the SoundBank containing the ShareSet is loaded prior to this error.

  • Enable API Calls in the Profiler Settings. Connect the Wwise Profiler and validate the parameter passed to the function triggering this error. Alternatively, put a breakpoint in your game code on the specified function call.

  • Regenerate and redeploy your banks on the test console.
