Source file is of different format than expected

An Event was called but the applicable media or external source file is in the wrong audio conversion format.

Probable causes:

There is a media SoundBank mismatch with your structure SoundBank.
There is an external source mismatch. The format passed in the AkExternalInfo structure is not the same as the actual file format.

Recommended resolution steps:

Make sure all SoundBanks are up to date.
Make sure the codec specified when posting external source Events matches the specification in the external source WSOURCES file. (Find this file's location in the External Sources List field of the Project Settings dialog's External Sources Tab.)
Avoid using offline decompression when using streaming or prefetch.
