New Project

In the New Project dialog box you can create a new project and specify the drive where you want to save the project. In addition you can define where you want to store the project's original files.

Description

Name

The name that you want to give the new project.

Each project name in Wwise must be unique, and the following characters may not be used in the name: ':<>*?”|.%. The OK button will not become active until you enter a valid filename.

Location

The list of local fixed drives where you can save your new project. A new "Wwise Projects" folder is created in the drive that you have selected and Wwise creates a project sub-folder where all the project files will be saved.

Opens the Browse for Folder dialog box where you can navigate to the location where you want to store the project.

Original files

The location where the original media files that you import into Wwise will be stored. You have the option of using the default originals folder located in the Project folder or browsing to another location.

Project folder

The location for the new folder that will be created for the project.

Platforms

An integrated view of the Platform Manager, without the Copy Settings option, where you can define your project's platforms.

 

Import assets to project

Copy additional content to the project during project creation. The assets groups include sound examples, effect presets, plug-in media files, and other project data.

This step can be done later from the Import Factory Assets... dialog, opened from Project > Import Factory Assets....

Opens a search field where standard alphanumeric entries filter out unmatching elements from the view. Learn more in Using Tables.

Click the Close icon to the left of the search icon to close the search field and remove the filter.

[Note] Note

The searches do not include elements in collapsed nodes of the List View, Query Editor, MIDI Keymap Editor, and Reference View.

Click the Configure Columns... shortcut (right-click) option from the column header band.

The Configure Columns Dialog opens. Specify which columns to display and their order.

Select all asset groups from the asset list.

De-select all assets groups from the asset list.

 

Saves the new project, closes the New Project dialog box, and opens the new project in Wwise.

Closes the New Project dialog box without saving the project.
