Contents Editor: Wwise Tone Generator

The Contents Editor gives you quick access to some of the most common properties associated with the Wwise Tone Generator plug-in. You must click the Tone Generator source to display the associated column headings.

Interface Element

Description

Name

The name of the tone generator plug-in.

Use

Determines which source within the sound object is:

  • Played during play back.

  • Included in SoundBanks.

  • This option is only visible when you have more than one source within the sound object.

Frequency

The frequency of the tone.

Audio:

Default value: 1000
Slider range: 20 to 12,000
Units: Hz

Motion:

Default value: 5
Slider range: 0 to 200
Units: Hz

Waveform

The type of waveform or noise used to create the tone.

There are six options to choose from:

  • Sine

  • Triangular

  • Square

  • Sawtooth

  • White Noise

  • Pink Noise

Wave Gain

The level of the tone generator's output.

Default value: -12
Slider range: -96.3 to 0
Units: dB

Notes

Any additional information about the Wwise Tone Generator plug-in.

Adds a new source to the sound object.

When you click the Add Source button a list of possible Chapter 56, Source Plug-ins that can be added is displayed.
