You’ve now learned how to manage voices and control exactly when a sound is allowed to play or not. A great method to check your priority settings is by setting the Max Voice Instance Limit extremely low and listen to whether the correct sounds are prioritized while playing. Therefore, let’s now set the Max Voice Instances limit to 10.
-
From the Project menu, select Platform Manager.
-
Select and hold your current platform’s Max Voice Instances slider and drag it down to 10.
-
Click OK.
To test this in game, you first need to generate SoundBanks.
-
From the Views menu, select Editors > SoundBank Manager.
-
Click Generate All.
If the limit seems extremely low, remember that the most important sounds are set to Continue to play, which means they will not be affected by this limit.
