Separating Audio Content Into Multiple SoundBanks

While traversing Allegro Kingdom, the soundscape changes constantly with the type of environment, objects, and enemies. For each region, customized environment sounds paint the soundscape with culturally associative elements, like when faintly hearing the waterfall, you know you’re entering fertile territories.

While there are sounds that have been applied throughout the entire game, there are many sounds that only exist in a certain place or context. At your first exposure to WAG, you’ll find a SoundBank with everything in it, and as you progress throughout the certification, you’ll slowly start to break it up. By splitting content into different SoundBanks, you’ll reduce the amount of unused audio assets, thereby saving runtime memory usage.
